Jack Forster, new WatchBox Global Editorial Director

HODINKEE LOSES EDITOR-IN-CHIEF JACK FORSTER TO WATCHBOX

August 26, 2022 in Watch Industry

WatchBox, which evolved from the original Govberg jewelry business, has gotten to the top of the online watch business since it was founded in 2017. Recently, they announced another significant development for their brand, bringing on former Hodinkee Editor-in-Chief Jack Forster to help expand their editorial content. Forster, after many years at Hodinkee, joins WatchBox as the company’s new Global Editorial Director, where he will work with other watch content legends like Tim Mosso to grow the WatchBox brand.

Forster previously worked for Revolution Magazine and as a moderator for online forum ThePuristsPro.com. His addition to the WatchBox team marks WatchBox’s continued interest in expanding their content, both editorial and video, highlighting the importance of relevant content for any watch business. This comes as WatchBox looks to expand its physical presence, with more stores opening in the coming years. Not only must watch businesses like WatchBox have excellent collections of timepieces available for purchase, but having relevant insights to share is increasingly becoming a critical factor for customer engagement and for success in the watch industry.

So far, the move has been welcomed by the online watch community, with excitement about what Jack Forster can bring to the table growing. In particular, excitement for what Watch Specialist and Media Director, Tim Mosso, and Jack Forster can do together for the WatchBox brand.
