Hello, I’m Dan Crivello

I grew up in Alsace, France, and live in the U.S. I’ve been writing about Rolex since 2017, building on earlier work as a business correspondent for an American daily newsprint. Away from the page, I enjoy kayaking, hiking and flying.

The name of this blog, Coronet, comes from the Old French coronete, meaning “little crown.” Within Rolex, the five-pointed gold emblem is itself called a coronet, the same logo for nearly a century.
