The Rolex Submariner was featured in a movie for the first time in 1954, in “Hunters of the Deep,” a full two years before Jacques Cousteau’s “The Silent World,” according to a finding published today by Nick Gould, a horological historian.
The documentary, which features for the first time on camera the most iconic Rolex ever made, was narrated by actor and Oscar nominee Dan O'Herlihy (Robinson Crusoe).
